Antiphaty is a punk band from Malang. It was first formed in early 1997 with the line-up of Catur (vocals), Feri (guitar), Arthur (bass) and Eko (drums). album ‘WAR’ (Raw Tape recs). A mix of punk and crusty coupled with a grainy distortion. The lyrics are about social and human conflict. In 1999 we re-released the LP ‘Undercontrol’ through Confuse recs.
Antiphaty also had time to do a split project with Depress (Singapore) released by Broken Noise Recs, and also Split Extreme Decay (Indonesia) released by Confuse Recs. Followed by singles for the compilation ‘A Tributte To Terrorizer’ (Edelweiss recs) and ‘Sodara Sebotol’ (Raw Tape recs). Our most awaited album entitled ‘For The Scene’ was released in 2001 and received quite an encouraging response. Antiphaty’s current line-up consists of Yoyok (vocals/guitar), Catur (lead vocals), Angga (drums), & Antok (bass/vocals).
