Deadline was founded in 2000 in London, after a concert by the band Gundog, the later deadline singer Liz spontaneously entered the stage and finished the vocals. Thus, Liz, who already had a concept for her band in mind, found their companions. Shortly thereafter, Gundog parted, with the members went up in part to deadline. Liz is regarded as a singer of the band because of her outstanding qualities not only for punk music.
Pretty soon Deadline released their first single «TV Dreams» (2001), followed in the same year, the first album «More to it». Also live, the band was very active, also outside the United Kingdom: 2002 Deadline played the first tour in Germany. In addition, deadline support for well-known bands, The Distillers and Rancid .
Accompanying other concerts Liz and Herve Lieder wrote for the second album «Back for More», which was released in 2003. On the occasion of the publication, there was a tour in various European countries. With the rising success of the band, drummer Nic and guitarist Ray Deadline left to focus on their other band Knuckledust. They were immediately replaced by Dave and Lee. After a split EP with the US band Brassknuckle Boys (2004), the drummer was changed again: Nico accompanied the band on another European tour, after their completion, work on another album began. «Getting Serious» was released in 2005.
